Happy, Fun Adventure Times in a Fantasy World
Halflings are a suspiciously cheerful people by nature. They were the first of all the common humanoid races to side with the hero Amelia's views on Underland races prior to The Schism, and are generally open and inviting to people of all races, no matter how terrifying those races may appear to other humanoids. Halflings are a rather funny bunch; not only are they odd, but they have a great sense of humor, as well. You can always count on a Halfling to have the perfect joke for any predicament.
A diminutive race, Halflings stand at an average height of 3.5 feet and vary in color, shape and size. They tend to be homebodies, preferring a warm hearth, pipe and bourbon over a wild adventure. They rarely wander far from home, with most never seeing the world outside the city in which they were born. They are fiercely competitive chefs, with regular cooking duels to determine who can prepare the best culinary treat, and it is said that Halflings believe food is the only thing worth warring over.
Halflings tend to be fairly lucky and have a natural proficiency in stealth, as their humble nature allows them to go unnoticed by larger races. Loyal and fiercely determined, they sometimes get themselves into trouble rushing into situations beyond their strength.
Halflings start the game with 3 free points to place in any stat below.
