How Magic Works

Mages have a pool of magic points (mana or MPs) that they spend to cast spells. You can keep casting until you run out of mana, and you can cast the same spell over and over if you want to. Each spell costs a different amount of mana, and there are some spells, such as Arcane Blast, that cost no mana to cast. Mages learn more spells as they level up, depending on their specialization. Mages can cast spontaneously cast any spells they know using the mana within their bodies and do not require a focus item to channel the spell. However, many mages do choose to use a focus item for personal, sentimental or strategic reasons.

When leveling up, gain 1D6 plus your intellect modifier in magic points.
